METAL-KOLOR / BRONZE CASTINGS

Bronze castings made to customer drawings and specifications

We produce bronze castings to agreed customer documentation. Process selection and machining scope begin with the full alloy designation, component geometry and required delivery condition.

Bronze is a family of alloys

Bronzes include several groups of copper alloys with different compositions and properties. The word ‘bronze’ alone does not define the component material or manufacturing requirements.

State the complete grade from the drawing, specification or order documentation. If it is unavailable, describe the application and service conditions; the material then requires a separate agreement.

As-cast or with agreed machining

The scope may cover an as-cast component or machining of specified surfaces. Delivery condition, allowances, datums, final dimensions and acceptance requirements are agreed before production.

The photographs show components from the historical copper alloy gallery. An image does not confirm the grade or parameters of a particular order.

Information needed to assess a bronze casting enquiry

Include a current drawing, 3D model or details of an existing sample component. Provide the full bronze grade from the documentation; if it is unavailable, describe the component’s application and operating conditions.

State the quantity, available tooling, required delivery condition and surfaces to be machined. Include tolerances, surface roughness, leak-tightness and acceptance criteria only where specified. Do you need a pattern for your casting? Explore our foundry pattern making services and the information needed for a tooling enquiry.

Email drawings and other files to biuro@metalkolor.pl.

The process follows the specific component

METAL-KOLOR produces gravity castings in sand moulds and permanent metal moulds. Process suitability depends on the alloy, geometry, tooling, quantity and component requirements.

We do not assign a process or alloy from appearance alone. Feasibility is confirmed after the documentation and required scope have been reviewed.

FAQ

Before you send an enquiry

Answers about documentation, material and scope.

Do all bronzes have the same properties?

No. Bronze is a family of alloys. The required grade should come from the documentation or be agreed for the application and service conditions.

Can the grade be identified from a photograph?

No. Colour and surface appearance do not confirm composition. A designation from the documentation or separate material identification is required.

Can I provide an existing component instead of a drawing?

A sample component can be an input, but the measurement scope, documentation reconstruction and responsibilities must be agreed separately.

Can the order include machining?

Yes. The scope may include machining of specified surfaces when final dimensions, datums, tolerances and surface texture are agreed from the documentation.
