In gravity die casting, molten metal fills a reusable metal mould under gravity. This differs from high-pressure die casting, where metal is injected into the die under pressure.
Die construction, preparation and process control depend on the specific component. Parameters from one project should not be applied to another part without review.
A permanent mould is tooling made for a defined geometry. The review considers the alloy, shape, casting removal, any cores, dimensional requirements and expected number of repeat orders.
We do not publish one universal minimum batch size or die cost. Both depend on the tooling design and order requirements.
Start with a current drawing or 3D model and the complete alloy designation. Include quantity, planned repeat batches, required delivery condition and the surfaces to be machined.
If a die, pattern, sample component or previous tooling documentation exists, describe its condition and availability. Suitability can only be confirmed after assessment.

The processes use different tooling and production arrangements. Selection depends on the geometry, alloy, quantity, dimensional expectations and the full life of the order.
The comparison begins with the documentation and does not create an automatic promise on cost, accuracy or lead time.

FAQ
Answers about process, tooling and input data.
No. This page uses gravity die casting for a permanent mould filled by gravity. High-pressure die casting is a different process.
Requirements must be assessed for the specific casting. Geometry, alloy, die design and process control all affect the achievable result.
The website does not state one value for every component. Tooling economics depend on the geometry, alloy and expected repeat demand.
Reuse depends on its condition, documentation and compatibility with the component. It requires a separate assessment.
